Watching The Making of Michael’s Jackson’s Thriller aged 8, was Virginia’s starting point of wanting to become a make-up artist. She studied make-up at London’s Greasepaint school and then harnessed her love of adventure, travel and creativity by moving to Mumbai where she saw more exciting make-up opportunities in a growing, multicultural India. In the last decade she has co-founded make-up company fat mu and worked on many film, fashion and television projects and faces (Jade Jagger, Alia Bhatt, Kalki Koechlin). This year sees her cinematic make-up design for Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra’s Mirziya.
